It can be pretty easy to slip into a ‘comfort zone’ when you turn 30. However, we all need some motivation from time to time, especially if we’re about to hit a milestone birthday.

So what better way is there than reminding yourself of detrimental habits to your lifestyle? Here are ten habits you should break when you turn 30. Don’t worry if you’re already in your mid-thirties–it’s never late to change things!

1. Expecting Others to Solve Your Problems

Once upon a time, in our teens and twenties, we were able to share our problems with others — be it our friends or parents. You would always go to them for advice or help, no matter how pressing the issue was.

As time passes, you may find that it’s not so easy anymore. The older you get, the more responsibilities you seem to have, allowing less room for uncertainties in your life. At this point, if something bad happens or something goes wrong — don’t expect other people to solve your problems. Instead, think about ways of solving the problem yourself.

2. Doing Things without Thinking Through
