Life Abroad is The Future of Many
Humans have always been mobile. From the evolutionary point of view, mobility is necessary for survival. It made sense in the past when people on the verge of famine or oppressed by those in power took the risk of starting a search for a better place, somewhere where the soil was fertile, springs were crystal clear, and the governors ruled with wisdom and judgment.
Times have changed.
Most of us don’t have their piece of land, safe drinking water is available directly at our homes, and we have the established process of choosing the governors who are not utter fools and jerks. Some of them still are, but that’s just human nature.
Yet millions of people around the world choose the life of their ancestors: taking risks, embracing the unknown, and drawing new experiences from the well of the infinite cultures. Why does this happen? And why our homes are no longer enough? The answer is simple: humans are wired for change.
We’ve always lived in an ever-changing world. Cities died and were born again, maladies and hunger killed people by the millions, and adult males spent most of their lives with a plow in one hand and an ax in another. People of the past only dreamt of stability, but all they had was the world that forced them to adapt to change quickly.
