Let’s face the truth: being toxic is not always about behaving in a shitty way towards someone else. It is often about giving a hard time to yourself, even when you totally don’t deserve it.

Okay, sometimes you do deserve a little bit of thrashing (everyone does). But in this article, I want to talk about a never-ending dressing down you give to yourself without any good reason. Or there can actually be a good reason, but you are going too far about hating yourself, which just destroys your life.

Whatever the case, you have to stop it immediately. Unless you want to end up being unhappy as fuck, with nothing else left but the poison of regret and self-hatred to drink slowly until the very last day of your life. That’s not what you want for yourself if you’re someone who still has dreams, hopes, and desires left. And I’m pretty sure you are, otherwise you wouldn’t make it to this sentence.

Self-revulsion

We all hate ourselves from time to time. As we become conscious, we acquire this critical inner voice (“Haha, loser!”) that lives in our heads rent-free. Often, the voice is just a projection of the negative emotions that enter our lives.

You may fail the test, mess up with someone you really like, or do something…
